There are lots of options for finding coupons! Check out this list to see if you’re using all of the following resources to build your coupon stash!
1. The Newspaper
Every Sunday, there can be as many as 5 coupon inserts in the newspaper. Look for Smart Source, Red Plum, Proctor & Gamble, and General Mills. Ask friends and family to give their inserts to you if they aren’t going to use them! By the way, there are usually NO coupons in a holiday weekend newspaper. Each week, you can view a list of coupons that are expected in the upcoming Sunday paper. The exact coupons that you receive will vary depending on your region, though.
2. Online
There are several websites where you can print coupons. You may have to register and install a coupon printer. You can print 2 of the same coupon per computer. So, if you have more than one computer, you can print 2 at each computer. Here are links to printable coupon sites:
- Coupons.com
- Smartsource.com
- Redplum.com
- Coupon Network
- AllYou.com
- Eat Better America
- Pillsbury
- Betty Crocker
- Very Best Baking
3. Electronic Coupons
Enter your store card number (ex: Kroger Plus Card) and choose coupons to be loaded onto your card. No paper, no clipping! The coupon amounts will be deducted electronically when you buy the item. You can find electronic coupons at these sites:
4. Email Newsletters
Sign up for email newsletters from your favorite brands. These newsletters often contain coupons.
5. Home Mailers
Check to see if your store sends snail-mail newsletters or coupons. Kroger sends coupons through the mail regularly. If you aren’t getting Kroger home mailers, call the number on the back of the Kroger Plus Card to verify that they have your correct address on file.
6. Blinkie Machines
Blinkie machines are the red boxes attached to the shelves in many stores. Take a coupon or two even if you are not buying the item. Save the coupon until the item goes on sale.
7. Peelies or Hangtags
Some products will have a peelie coupon or a hangtag coupon attached to them. Use these only if you are buying the item in that shopping trip.
8. Tearpads
Tearpads of coupons can be found in store displays. Take one or two to use when the item goes on sale, but do not take the whole thing. Leave some for others!
9. Magazines
Coupons can be found in various magazines. All You magazine is a great magazine for couponers, because it contains a large number of coupons each month. This magazine is available only at Walmart or by subscription.
Now that you have some coupons, you need to know how to organize them.
